Hostinger and Hosting.com both run LiteSpeed web servers, so both are quick for WordPress. Hosting.com is the new name for A2 Hosting, which rebranded in April 2025 — if you have read an older A2 Hosting review, the plans and prices have changed since. We compared current entry plans, published specs, renewal terms and independent reports (last checked November 2026).
Price over three to four years
Hosting.com's Shared Starter plan has one of the lowest headline prices on the market, around $2 a month, but only on a four-year term, and it renews at roughly $14 a month. Hostinger's Premium plan is around $2–3 a month on a 48-month term and renews at about $11 a month. Hostinger also lets you host up to 100 sites on that plan, while Hosting.com's starter plan covers 5. Over the full term and into renewal, Hostinger usually costs less.
Speed
This one is close. Both use LiteSpeed with built-in caching, and Hosting.com uses NVMe storage on its shared plans. Hosting.com has long marketed itself on speed (the old A2 "Turbo" servers), while Hostinger matches it closely at a lower price. For a normal WordPress site you are unlikely to notice a difference; pick on price and panel.
Control panel and tools
Hostinger uses its own hPanel: clean and simple, with one-click WordPress, backups, email and an AI website builder. Hosting.com uses cPanel, plus SSH and developer tools on shared plans. If you know cPanel or your developer expects it, Hosting.com will feel like home. If you are new, hPanel is easier.
Support
Both offer 24/7 support by chat and tickets. Neither is known for phone support on entry plans. Both offer free help moving an existing website.
Refunds
Both give a 30-day money-back guarantee on hosting. Domain fees are generally not refunded.
Bottom line
For value and simplicity, Hostinger wins. For cPanel and developer features with similar speed, Hosting.com is the better fit.
